Tech Ventures 2005

'Planning for Growth - Building £1 Billion Companies'

The Technology Ventures Conference 2005 was held at the Guildhall, London on June 14, 2005 and keynote speeches were delivered by Sir Robin Saxby, Board Chairman of ARM Holdings plc and Professor Hasso Plattner, co-founder of SAP AG.

The theme of the conference addressed the conditions required to grow technology-based startups into large globally focused enterprises. The keynote and panel speakers shared their experience founding and managing fast growing technology ventures that have already passed or are still aiming for the £1 billion mark.

The conference was organized around four panel discussion focused on the areas of Technology Convergence, Biotechnology, European Venture Capital and Green Ventures. These panel participants included entrepreneurs, academics, venture capitalists and senior corporate leaders. Panelists engaged in spirited discussion of the key issues around building and funding knowledge-based enterprises.
