OVERVIEW |
The Technology Ventures Conference (TVC) 2009, under the overarching theme of "Innovative Technologies for Global Challenges", has been held on June 11th, at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge, UK. CUTEC marked the 800th Anniversary of the University with the 6th and largest conference yet with more than 350 attendees, further confirming the strengths of the Cambridge entrepreneurial cluster in the worldwide market and reflecting the superb talent emerging from the University of Cambridge.

Keynote speakers this year were Marissa Mayer, Google VP of Search Products, and Iqbal Quadir, Founder of GrameenPhone. The agenda also featured 4 panel discussions of distinguished speakers. More than 20 start-up companies exhibited cutting-edge technology solutions from Europe and the US at the Technology Showcase. In addition, i-Teams formed during the 2008/09 academic year presented results of their projects.
