Marketing Team

The marketing team is responsible for advertising and promoting events and CUTEC itself. One of the most important tasks is to prepare the advertisement material for the TVC (Technology Ventures Conference) including the logo, the conference booklets and other marketing material. Beyond the TVC, the team also designs flyers and posters, creates e-mails, updates online event sites and administrates CUTEC's social networks like Facebook, YouNoodle and LinkedIn. Ultimately, the marketing team is CUTEC's image.

Kate Parashina, Vice President

Kate is a Cambridge graduate with an MPhil degree in English and Applied Linguistics. Before moving to Cambridge, she spent two years working at Teva Pharmaceuticals, one of the largest world generic pharmaceutical companies. Since October 2010 Kate has been working at Cambridge Network as a membership liaison officer. In this role she has gained a professional insight and a deep understanding of the business and technology community in Cambridge. Kate has a passion for studying and learning. Kate joined CUTEC as a member of External Relations team but then she was appointed as an interim Vice President of the Marketing team. Kate has a passion for learning – economics, marketing, photography and fitness are among her main hobbies. Kate also speaks professional English, German, native Russian and also knows some basics of Chinese.

 Kate Parashina

Jonas G. Mikkelsen, Team Advisor

Jonas is currently doing a top-up in international management at Ashcroft International Business School. Prior to this he has a degree in marketing management with further studies in the automotive industry. Jonas is the first of his kind to specialize in the motorcycle industry. He has during and after his initial education worked with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, notably as Project & Marketing Manager in Los Angeles. Before coming to Cambridge, Jonas worked as a freelance marketing consultant. He has also been connected with the Danish entrepreneurial centre Idea-House and has helped with two start-ups, respectively a marketing consultancy and a digital media company. Jonas joined CUTEC in October 2010.

 

Wiktor Miloszewski

Wiktor has completed Technical School in Poland specialising in Electric Installations. Then after spending 2 years at the Czestochowa Polytechnic (also in Poland) attending course in Mechanical Engineering he decided to dedicate more time to some of his main passions, which include travels, cars and motorcycles. In Oct 2011 he completed his BA in International Business Strategy with First Class Honours at Ashcroft International Business School, Cambridge. He is primarily interested in Marketing and Logistics, with reference to Automotive Industry. In 2010 he participated in IBM Universities Business Challenge competition and in 2011 – in McKinsey Students in Society competition, sponsored by McKinsey & Company. From Sep 2010 he was a member of a Logistics team at the CUTEC club and in Sep 2011 joined the Marketing team.

 

Cedric Deur

Cedric is finishing his MSc Marketing Management  at Anglia Ruskin University. Currently writing his dissertation about E-marketing and the power of Social Media he is involve in the "Entrepreneur Atmosphere" of Cambridge and looking to start is own start up soon. After his studies in Chemistry in France he discovered that the UK is the proper place to make things happen. 

 

Edwin Hayward

Edwin is a director of Memorable Domains Ltd. Over the last 15 years, he has established a high-value portfolio of over 8,500 descriptivegeneric domain names. He has also been a panellist at a number of domain industry conferences. Through Genki Productions Ltd, he has developed a series of informational websites, including EmailAddresses.com. These websites received over 4,000,000 visitors and over 10,000,000 pageviews in 2010. He masterminded every aspect of their development, from planning through to website architecture, on-page and off-page SEO, content writing, HTML and CSS coding, marketing and PR. He lived in Tokyo for 15 years before moving to
Cambridge, and was involved in several web start-ups there. He also worked as IT manager for the Japanese division of a large Swiss private bank. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Kent.

 

Lulu Toledano

Lulu Toledano qualified as a graphic designer from Mexico City in 2003. She then worked as pre-press manager in publishing companies.
 
After moving to the UK she studied Business and IT at Anglia Ruskin University. Since then she has been involved in web design and phone application graphics design. Lulu is also still working in the printing industry.
 
Lulu joined CUTEC in 2009 supporting the marketing team and helping with some of the graphic design of the club. She has a passion for design, technology and entrepreneurship.
 

Thomas Sommer

Thomas is a graduate from the Strasbourg Institute of Political Sciences and ESSEC Business School in Paris. He's passionate about learning new languages and spent one year moose-hunting in Uppsala, Sweden. After some time working in the financial markets, he felt he needed a break from the dealing floor, a new start, as well as some adventure, and moved to the Cambridge Cluster. He currently works for MagicSolver, an innovative startup specialized in iPhone applications.
 
A staunch tech enthusiast, Thomas is in charge of social media at CUTEC.
 

Anne Catherine Goulby

Anne-Catherine went to university after 3 years of "classes préparatoires" in Humanities. She got a master degree in Philosophy from the University of Strasbourg. She also graduated from ESSEC "Grande Ecole". She worked two years in Human Resources at Cartier in Paris before coming to Cambridge and joining MagicSolver, a startup developing iPhone applications. Since her arrival in January 2011, she has been working there in Marketing and Business Development. She likes innovative technology, arts and literature and enjoys most of the life in Cambridge.   

 

Tilman Lesch

Tilman is currently doing PhD in Neuroscience on decision-making and risk learning trying to understand why some people start start a new venture and others don’t. Before coming to Cambridge Tilman studied engineering and economics in Karlsruhe, Germany, and in Lausanne, Switzerland. In Karlsruhe Tilman was an active member of the student consultancy delta e.V. and for more than two years he was part of the executive team of Businessmasters organizing an international case study competition at the University of Karlsruhe (KIT). Already during his studies Tilman worked for several start-ups and SMEs as a freelancer or consultant, his engagements included for example performing market analysis, preparing the market entry or developing a pricing strategy.
